Gus Fring was a powerful drug kingpin, so it’s no surprise that the Mexican Cartel wanted him on their side. But did Gus want them? That’s the million dollar question! It’s clear that he had his own agenda and wasn’t afraid to go against the grain. He was a master of manipulation and could easily have been playing both sides of the fence. Gus is in hot water with a Mexican drug cartel who want a piece of his profits. Walter’s had enough and gives Jesse the tools to take him out. Hank then finds one of Gus’s fingerprints at the chemist’s house and ropes Walter in to help track him down. But Gus keeps his cool, and we get a glimpse into his Chilean past.
Did the cartel want Gus? Well, it’s no secret that they weren’t exactly fans of his. They were always trying to find ways to get rid of him, so it’s safe to say they wanted him gone.
